Coming April 13 at the Charlottesville Pavilion- A family-friendly performance by the award winning group, Two of a Kind. Find out more about them at twoofakind.com, where you can hear some of their songs and watch video of concerts. CDs are for sale at the Virginia Discovery Museum.
You are invited to sing and dance with us on Sunday, April 13 from 3-5 pm at the downtown Charlottesville Pavillion for an action-packed family concert.
The Monacan Indian Youth Dance Group will be opening with traditional dances in customary Monacan Indian clothing. The group is composed of boys and girls from the Monacan Nation who are very proud of their Native American culture. This group of young children travels and performs at powwows and other festivals through out the state. Karenne Wood, a member of the Monacan Tribal Council, will discuss the importance of dance to the Monacan culture. This cultural program is made possible by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.

Following the Monacan Indian Youth Dance Group, Two of a Kind will perform interactive songs that are fun for kids of all ages. They will be unveiling a special song honoring Thomas Jefferson, written just for Charlottesville's Virginia Discovery Museum!
Spend Sunday, April 13 with the Virginia Discovery Museum at the Pavilion, rain or shine. No advance tickets are required – $5 per person, $20 per family suggested donation will be accepted the door. Proceeds from this concert will provide important support for the Museum's operations and help us create new adventures for your family.
