Things to Explore
- Up & Down: What causes the parachutes and scarves to ascend? Why does they eventually start to descend instead of continuing up into the air?
- Safe Landing: Try catching the parachutes and scarves before they reach the ground.
Wind Tunnel
Up, up, and away! Explore the principles of flight, drag, lift, and air pressure as you pick scarves and parachutes from the bowls, hold them above the fan as they billow with air, launch them up through the wind tunnel, and watch them float back down to earth.
Parking: First hour free at Market Street and Water Street garages. Visitors who have set up a Metropolis App account may scan the QR code at VDM for a second free Hour.
